Wash Day 1 - With Sew In - 2 weeks post
OK, so tonight I'm doing my first was with my sew-in after i self installed last week. I'm washing with my Dr. Bonner's Mix and I'm currently deep conditioning with a mix of conditions which include Queen Helene's Cholesterol, Nutrine Garlic hot oil, CON Moisture Extreme Condition, ProSilk Silk Design silk conditioner. I wanted to make a conditioner composed of moisture rich components and light protein so once i take down my sew in in two weeks i wont have to worry about dry brittle hair or protein overload. I'm trying to improve my treatment of the hair beneath the sew in to bring more health to my hair. I applied my condition using a applicator brush and used a applicator bottle to apply the shampoo between the tracks. I wont really know how my hair fairs for another 2 weeks so we'll see...*wink* xoxo

A Hairy Situation
For as far back as i can remember i have always had short course hair, even in my baby pictures before relaxers even touched my hair my hair was no longer than ear or neck length. But throughout my life i have always wanted longer healthier hair. it was not until recently that i even thought to believe this was even possible for me. after watching countless YouTube videos, reading numerous blogs, and joining multiple hair forums i finally believe i am now ready to begin anew. Currently my hair is grazing shoulder lenght but is broken and down to less then a inch is some areas due to a micro braid fiasco..(We not even gonna get into that right now)
So that put me in a serious setback phase but hopefully at this point i am poised to bounce back and accomplish my goals.
I have 3 main goals
Goal (1) -short term- Reduce Breakage, maintain leght, reduce slit ends, reach full shoulder length by Dec. 31
Goal (2) -mid-term goal- maintain leght, reduce breakage, stop/reduce split ends, reach APL by June 2011
Goal (3) - long term/ultimate goal - maintain and retain leght..Reach BSL --date to accomplish..not yet determined.

And so it begins...
I have decided to start a blog detailing my struggle and accomplishments with my journey to grow my hair and also achieve weight loss and fitness goals. I will also incorporate some review of products and supplements that i use that i purchased with my own funds. The purpose of me displaying this info is to broadcast my experience with these goals and that i wish to achieve. Also this is a bench marker so that as i progress I'll be able to look back and see how far I've come.
OK that's all for now..I'll post a separate blog listing my strategy to reach these lofty goals..So much work..so lil time..lol
